Attitude For Gratitude

We celebrate many occasions in life. We celebrate Holidays, Birthdays, Weddings, Graduations, all kinds of special occasions in our lives. We get so busy in our daily routines running here and there, sometimes we don’t take time to breathe. Wouldn’t it be lovely to just get up every day, take a deep breath and celebrate life with gratitude?

My question is, how do we celebrate gratitude every day? For me, (and yes, I am a bit eccentric) but for years I wake up and sing “Good Morning” from Singing in the Rain. I still call some of my adult children and sing that in the morning. My daughter in-law constantly says to my grandchildren “Remember to have an "Attitude for Gratitude.” I also like to follow in my 86-year-old mother’s gratitude footsteps. For she has lost her son, her husband, her sister and many friends in the last few years. She still puts her feet on the ground every morning and thanks God for the fact she can put her feet on the ground. I am constantly inspired by her gratitude for life.

We have gratitude for friends, family and where we live. Do you have gratitude for putting your feet on the ground? How about the sports you are able to watch and play? What about all the restaurants and lovely people who serve us? For me I am always grateful for the ever-changing seasons here in the desert. I have gratitude for living here on Desert Mountain and all of you and your kindness. I would also like to thank Stroll for letting me be a tiny little part of this wonderful magazine for almost three years. It is a pleasure working with such talented people. Happy “5th” Anniversary! The Magazine has led me to meet so many people in the area. I like to call my little circle, Desert Mountain, Carefree and Cave Creek. I just love all the people here. I have been blessed to witness an abundance of kindness everywhere. So, in return it gives me an abundance of gratitude for where we live.

Whatever we believe, however we celebrate all year, I am sure we all have gratitude and thankfulness for something. So, gratitude is something we all have in common. I would like to thank all of you for my gratitude due to your warmth and friendliness. So, let’s have an attitude for gratitude. Here is a little hint. If you try to practice it every day in some way, you would be surprised how it changes your day in a glorious way.

Blessings Always,
Angie
