"To describe my mother would be to write about a hurricane in its perfect power." - Maya Angelou

Matriarch, Mother, Mom, mama, mommy – these titles resonate within each home. Personally, I find solace in the term “Super Woman.”

If you're reading this, it serves as a gentle reminder that someone brought you into this world. In that transformative moment, that woman’s life changed forever, and so did yours. She cradled a precious life within her for 40 weeks, and then, with open arms, she shared that miracle with the world. What an extraordinary gift. In that very instant, we were all blessed, bestowed with the opportunity to navigate our paths in this vast world and carve out our destinies.

As I pen down these words, I'm filled with a blend of experience and empathy, mindful of the journey of mothers everywhere. I've played a role in raising nine children, now adults, and I'm grateful to cherish the love of ten grandchildren. When I say “I've seen it all,” it's a testament to the myriad of experiences we endure. The diapers, bottles, late nights, and worries – yes, my friends, they've etched their marks, evidenced by the gray strands from teaching my children how to navigate life's roads. Yet, here we are, all mothers, resilient and unwavering in our resolve. Additionally, I've had the privilege of owning a Performing Arts School, where I had the honor of sharing the joy of dance with thousands of children. I hope, in some small measure, they felt the maternal embrace of my guidance. None of this would have been conceivable without the support of my own mother and those who laid the foundation before her. I count myself fortunate to still have my remarkable mom by my side to this day.

I've been blessed with numerous influential women in my life who've embodied the essence of motherhood. My aunts, my best friends' moms, and my teachers – each has left an indelible imprint, illuminating the path towards nurturing greatness. We can all recall that special woman who, though she may not have birthed us, fostered our growth and inspired us to aspire for greatness.

In a recent survey of 50 individuals, when asked to define “Mom,” the resounding response was “Love.” Though, in all honesty, my own children might append “Love and Food” to that list. From one mother to another, “I LOVE YOU!” Let's collectively shower all mothers with love and gratitude, honoring the myriad roles we embody, while we still have the chance.

Happy Mother’s Day!

Blessings and Love
Always,
Angie
